- Meeting Presentation -

Mike Weiss will give a presentation on Apistogrammas. Mike has been studying South American dwarf cichlids, with an emphasis on the genus Apistogramma, for over 35 years, and is well-known in the hobby for the breadth of his vast knowledge.

- Mini Auction -

    As usual, the second half of the meeting will feature a mini-auction.

    Sellers are limited to 5 items of anything related to the hobby.

    Sellers will split auction proceeds 50-50 with the Club. Club members

    enjoy an 80-20 split.

  1. Sharks and Loaches. Sharks from the Cyprinid Family including the Red-Tailed, Rainbow, Variegated or Calico, Bala or Tricolor, Apollo, Arrow, Flying Fox and Black Shark genera Labeo, Labeobarbus, Epalzeorhynchos, Balantiocheilus and Morulius (excludes Dennison’s barb sometimes called Dennison’s shark and all catfish such as iridescent shark) loaches from the Botiidae, Cobitidae, Balitoridae and Nemacheiliidae families including the Kuhli, Weather, Clown, Royal Clown and Hillstream loaches. Sharks shown as singles. For loach species where sex is readily determined (Acanthopthalus spp.) shown in pairs otherwise two fish. Fish over six inches may be shown as singles.

  2. Livebearers of the Poecillidae family. Mollies, Swords, Platys, Guppies & all other fish of the Poecillidae family. Excludes Anableps, Chondrichthyes etc. which may be called livebearers but are not in the Poecillidae family. Shown in pairs.

  3. Open Class

Bowl Show participants, please arrive early to setup your tanks/bowls and fill out necessary paperwork for your entry.

The Colorado Aquarium Society, established in 1947, is an open group for aquarists to share their interest in all facets of the aquarium hobby. Our members consist of advanced expert hobbyists as well as beginners and all levels between. Our monthly meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome!
